Producer - Dani O'Keefe
Audio - Zelig Sound

This is a montage of some of the final deliverables. I was commissioned by Box to come up with a graphics package for KERRANG's new countdown Rock Chart show. This was fantastic for many reasons, mainly because I LOVE heavy metal. Deliverables included logo design for use across print, TV and web, titles, sting, numbers 2-20, number 1 and all onscreen straps and bugs.

The concept was all about power, and what generates more power than head-banging to metal? I designed these 'moshing machines' to send charges of power through a sci-fi industrial landscape, culminating in the powering-up of the KERRANG! Rock Chart logo

The teenage Neil Grunshaw would be very excited if he knew he'd one day be making heavy metal moshing machines for KERRANG!

My bit is the pink 3D '4Music' logo at the end. Working with director Nick Bentley I developed 4 3D logo treatments for Channel 4's music channel (4Music) as part of their rebrand. There are 4 different light configurations , one for each ident. As is the nature with rebrands, we went through many different iterations to get to the end product but we're very happy with how the final result turned out.

Scrolls down to see all the idents.

Illustration: Neil Grunshaw
Client: It's a secret. Shhhh!
Agency: Fred & Eric

Unfortunately the NDA I signed prevents me from revealing anything about this illustration project apart from the following:

- I had to come up with 4 characters who have formed a rockin' band. The characters are aged 10-12, and it's aimed at kids the same age as the band.
- The characters were designed to be animated
- The client is a global children's broadcaster
- It was a lot of fun
- I got to work with the fabulous ladies at Fred & Eric

Director - Neil Grunshaw
Producer - Dani O'Keefe
Sound design - Box Of Toys
Creative Director - Nicholas Bentley
Studio - Box
Client - 4Music

I was asked by Box to come up with a package of graphics for World's Greatest Dancers Top 50, a countdown of music videos featuring awesome dancing voted for by viewers and shown on Channel 4's music channel, 4Music. The above video is a montage of all the deliverables.

I designed a rag-tag bunch of clockwork robots on their way to a dance contest in an environment made of toys, street furniture and bits of electronic junk, as if someone had built it out of stuff they found in their garage. I wanted to keep it looking distinctly British so I made sure I got a classic British council block in there and used only British street furniture. The robots ('Crunk', 'Grace', 'Ladybot' and 'Tracksuit') are based on hip-hop/modern pop culture references, some more obvious than others...

Deliverables included a title sequence, bumpers, numbers from 50-1, onscreen straps and bugs, elements for the promo, the whole shebang. Hope you enjoy them.

We worked with stop motion animator Susie to create this fun title sequence. I directed Lily on a green screen shoot (very quickly indeed, she's a busy woman it turns out) then composited it all together in After Effects.

This is a promo opener which I designed and animated to package a strand of programming about "psychics" and "the supernatural" on Bio.

DISCLAIMER:

I obviously don't believe in any of that rubbish. Derek Acora and his ilk are very bad people indeed.
